Griff Davis moved to Tahoe in 1984 and is considered one of the pioneers of Extreme Skiing. Growing up in Portland he worked for his father who was a General Contractor too. Learning his trade the old-school way without computers, laser measuring tools or CAD, Griff was privileged to understand how to interpret the 2D plans and make them come to 3D life. He took an architecture class in high school and his home design was chosen to be built. It still stands in Beaverton Oregon! Griff applied his construction skills to mountain building and became a General Contractor in Tahoe in 1997. With almost 4 decades of high Sierra living under his belt, Griff understands the terrain and what it takes to build a long lasting structure that will withstand the 4 seasons and sometimes harsh Tahoe winters. Griff resides in Truckee with his partner Melissa and their 3 big dogs. Snow skiing, water skiing and enduro/dez dirt biking are his big passions. He is a proud dad of his beautiful Tahoe-raised daughter Haley.
